1969 Trim Tag option Codes

Does anyone know how the option codes break down on the trim tag.

To the right of the build date code on my tag which is 05B is the code 420. looks like this.

ST 69 xxxx BTxxxxxx BDY
Tr 855 59 A PNT
05B 420
Im guessing this is an option code of some kind. If anyone has another thought or knows what the 420 denotes let me know. In the Chevrolet by the numbers book Alvin Colvin talks about these codes but states he doesnt want to share the information for fear it would make the tags easier to reproduce and thus ruin the car hobby.

Thanks
Tom

The 420 is just an internal plant code. It does not decode to anything. What engine does your caprice have?

Its a 335hp 427. Where did you find info denoting something like this as an internal plant code. Id like to check that out. It was built in Texas. If it is an internal plant code then it relates to some kind of information and thats what id like to track down.

Thanks Tom

It has to do with tracking the body in the plant. It is not in books but other chevy plants used similar codes.
