Your cowl tag says buit in Los Angeles but Vin Tag says St. Louis. Vin says SS and Cowl doesnt. Look for tampering of the rivits. The vin should be on with little Star like chrome looking rivits.

Vin Decodes: Chevrolet Impala SS 8 cylinder, 2 door sport coupe. Year is 1965 and was built in St. Louis, MO

Cowl Decodes: Chevrolet Impala 8 cylinder, 2 door sport coupe. Year is 1965 Built in Los Angeles. Color of your interior is: Black. Material type is: Cloth & Vinyl. Seat type: Bench. Used for: Impala coupes & sedans.

Cowl Decodes color of your car is: Regal Red

It looks like the tag has a crickle in it? The tag should be straight and smooth. Also on my 64s they all have just a bump on the top and bottom and no rivets only the cowl tag is attached with rivets on 64s. The one 65 that I had was the same as the 64s.

Just wondering. What does your title say? Did you get a title for a 164 or 166 car?
If someone has tagged the car in the past, you would think they would at least change both tags to match.
