1967 Protect o plate

Can anyone please help me decode my protect o plate. I am trying to see if my 67 is a true ss, and what size motor came in the car.

Any help would be great.

I find it easiest to go to Year One's website. They have VIN and trim tag decoders in their technical information section that can help you find the information you need.

ASE & GM certified master technician, and no, I don't think I know it all.

Yea thanks for the tip. I found most of what I needed; however, I am still looking to find the correct engine size I didn't see it on their site. What does this protect o plate say. Does it mean anything or is it just general info like color year etc.?

Your POP will provide details of your car but you do not need it in 1967 to tell the Style. Your VIN will indicate if it is an original Impala SS or not.
Since yours came with a V8 (see below), if your VIN starts with 16887 it is a SS hardtop (or 16867 for SS Convert). 16487 or 16467 would indicate standard Impala (non-SS).

Your POP does show the original engine "TO123KL" indicates a small block 327/275 HP with a 3 speed TH400 transmission. The engine was assembled at the Tonawonda plant on January 23 1967.

64 Impala SS 327/300 survivor
67 Impala SS 327 triple black hardtop
67 Impala Bench Seat 4 speed
