Door Tag In Canada

Could someone please help me out with this door tag?
Also I added the other tag as well. It would be much appreciated if that one could be decoded as well.

Sure. 31847 is a 63 Impala Sport coupe. The 52804 is sequential vin number, which started at 1.

on the cowl tag, style shows 63 Impala Sport Coupe. Top 24 is the vinyl top color.
body number on this canadian tag is the ident number. used for tracking, doesn't decode to anything
F is the paint code for blue I believe. Not sure on the exact color. Don't have my list in front of me.
842 is a blue cloth bench seat interior
B70 is padded dash
C08 is vinyl top
U63 is pushbutton am radio

Hey Drew are you aware that you can get copies of your bill of sale, window sticker and all of your options printed out on a build sheet from storage at GM of Canada. The government required them to keep all of the records that GM threw away in the states. I believe it cost $75 bucks Canadian for complete certified documentation of your car.

Awesome! Thanks guys. I was aware that you could pay for the build sheet from my goggling but I just didn't want to give GM any money for it. So the original paint on my car "F" is silver blue? it's been painted with a similar colour but it's not original. If my car would have come with things like power steering or ac would it show up on the cowl tag at the bottom?
Thanks
Drew

Not necessarily. Not all options were listed. Mater of fact very few if any of the options are listed. I do not know what the criteria was to warrant a mention on the trim tag.

The only thing that lists all of your car's options is the window sticker and the build sheet (the Protect-O-Plate also had them encoded as well). Only the window sticker was ever given away with the car and even then many dealers ripped them off and threw them away when they detailed the new car for customer delivery.

The build sheet was a document that was used by the person building your car to know what options to install on the car as it went down the line. After that worker installed his or her part they were supposed to throw that piece of paper away in the trash because GM thought it was garbage. Lazy line workers often hid the paper in the car rather than walk the three feet it took to toss it in the trash. There was a build sheet printed for every option on your car. If you have a heavily optioned car there is a chance you may find a build sheet if and when you take the car apart. If you have a base model with no options odds are you will never see one unless you buy a copy.

Yes, I checked and L is silver blue. Generally, options were put on the tag that would require a modification to the body by Fisher Body. Of course what options that were shown on the tag and how they coded them, varied by plant.
