paint code A is tuxedo black. trim 866 is Fawn cloth

16469 is a Impala 4dr sedan.

I believe EXLD is export Left hand drive.

1-5-11 could be date of production. 11/1/65 or 1/11/65. Not sure.

Got any pictures?

VIN should be a vertical tag in drivers door frame.

Frame up restoration of 1967 Impala in progress

Welcome to the Team Carsten!

You are in luck. Because the car is a Canadian build you can buy a copy of all of the original paper work including the export certification from GM of Canada. It costs about $100 and may take a few weeks to get it but you should know everything there is to know about that car (or at least how it was when it left the plant).

The body number does not decode to anything.

The vin: 516469063725

5 is 1965 model year
16469 is a impala 4dr sedan with V8 engine. What do the emblems on the fenders say?

The rest of the vin is just the sequential serial number.
