Question Impala 327 code

My 66 Impala's engine code appears to be T060IHCR. I assume the "I" is supposed to be a "1". What does the HRC decode to? I can't find that in my searches. The engine has a Quardrajet and camel hump heads. It is supposed to be a 327 cu in. of unknown horsepower.

Thanks for your help,
Michael

Michael,
Yes the I is probably a 1 so it was assembled on Jan 6th. Also the 1966 327 with the powerglide and a Rochester carb has a "HCR" suffix. It shows this as a 327 275HP. I would check a few things. Get the casting number and casting date from the rear of the engine. These can identify the year in most cases. Also check the build date of your car on the cowl tag to see if it is in line with the Jan build date of the engine.

Craig, you got the date backwards. 0601 would be June 1st.

Those CRG guys don't let you get by on anything! Ed is correct. I should never have gotten that backwards since my 64 is a 0602 (June 2nd) and my 67 is a 0124 (Jan 24th)!

Craig, I had already figured that out, but you were nice enough to respond so I didn't want to rub it in.
