Dust/Grease Boot on Steering Knuckle

Anybody replaced the rubber boot that goes on the top end of the enclosed "u" joint on the steering column? This is the round canister thing that's a slip joint/u-joint in the engine bay close to the fire wall. It appears to have a large spring clip to take it apart but I've never done one. The rubber boot is torn. Who carries them? Whats involved? Thanks!!!

What year car? My mid eighties B-bodies had a fiberglass and stamped steel boot that was to cover the part of the steering column that collapsed in an accident. It was held on by a couple of clamps but you had to pull the column to change out the boot (that melts from the heat radiated by a big displacement big block).

'62 Impala small block. This is a canister looking device about 3" long and maybe 2" diameter. It has a rubber dust/grease boot at the top where the steering column goes into it. It serves as a sort of u-joint and slip joint combined, is filled with heavy grease.
