steering column parts

Hi all

Today a friend and I pulled apart my steering column (66 Impala) to fix the cancling cam But found a few other problem's a long the way. one of the column covers is broken and needs to be replace or fix all the other parts I can get from my chev parts guy in victoria australia. I have looked on ebay for this cover but there is nothing there what is the name of this part or is it just a cover. Here is australia we call this type of part a (honey pot) can I buy this new from a shop like classic or year one etc.
here are some photo's of the item cheers.

That part is commonly called a shift bowl. Even if your car is a floorshift, that bowl must be in place to extend from the steering column jacket to the turn signal switch cover.

I have a old 47 ford pickup truck that I built into a hot rod 20 years ago. I installed a column shift column in it and removed the shifter and ground and filled the area smooth then painted it. Been good all these years.

Took a few more pics. I believe it is only suppose to have one large tab sticking out, as this this the only part that catches the column.
I am certain that this one isn't broken. Your tab may be chipped or something though. It is hard to tell.

Sounds good. Find out about yours, then let me know if you do in fact need one, and we'll go from there.
