As calculated in another thread at this site, a Jeep Grand Cherokee power gear (1992 1/2 thru 1998) should have 3.1 revolutions of the input shaft from full lock to full lock.
12.7 (fast ratio) x 88 degrees (full travel) = 1,118/360 = 3.1 input shaft revolutions.
So the gear you have with only 2.7 revolutions must be a restricted travel gear. This will cause your car's turning circle to increase somewhat.
This is why I am concerned at times as to exactly what these remanufacturers are really doing when they rebuild or refurbish a gear.
One other point of information: The fast ratio 1992 1/2 thru 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee power gear was the only gear used on this Jeep Grand Cherokee line of vehicles through those years. There were no optional ratios and all gears were full travel (88 degree sweep).
